First Shooting of Julia Roberts in Bali
The Hollywood Superstar Julia Roberts is begin to take picture for of "Eat, Pray, Love" movie in Banjar Bentuyung, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali, on Thursday October 15th. In the first shooting, Banjar people make protest about the unconsistence schedule and the different cost which place will rent.
Claire Raskind from the Columbia Pictures said "Bali (Indonesia) will become the last place for taking picture of that film, first take will be doing in New York (US) at August begining, then it continued in Rome (Italy) and to Mirzapur (India) before going to Bali."
Bali has become last place to take the picture from this thursday until the middle of November. Picture take will be done in 24 hours 5 days, Julia only has rest time in Saturday and Sunday. The film maker hoped this film will succeed.
Although that, Banjar Bentuyung people held the sudden meeting in conference place in Banjar. They ask about the take picture which done yesterday, because the Banjar people knowed that picture take in Bentuyung will be done after the picture takes in some place in Ubud, such as Monkey Forest, Banjar Nyuh Kuning, and Pengosekan,and also in Ubud art market.
Beside Ubud, some beach area in Jimbaran and Uluwatu, Badung regency, will become shooting area of that film too.
The "Eat, Pray, Love" film is telling about life story of Elizabeth Gilberth. The illustration of Gilberth in prosperous life, which has known of her loyal and rich husband, also has successful career, but it isn't the ending point of her life story. In this situation, she change the purpose of her life. She did the journey to seek the true meaning of life.
She find how delicious food in Italy, pray power in India, also peace and the balance of love in Bali. The other actor/actrees in this film are James Franco, Richard Jenkins, Bill Crudup, Viola Davis, and Javier Bardem. And the Bali's people which be actor is Ketut Liyer, a Bali shaman.
