Serangan Island has 2 villages they are Pojok Village and Dukuh Village. There is also Pura Sakenan (Sakenan Temple), located about 1 kilometers from the beach area, where the harbour exist for the ships. Pura Sakenan is one of holy temple for Balinese. On the one of the great day of Balinese, Kuningan, this temple will be fully loaded by the peoples.

In the past, Serangan island also well known as a Turtle Island. There were so may turtles reside on the island. This is including for their eggs. But know, the amount of the turtles is dramatically decrease, due to the un-controlled hunting by the citizens.

Another reason for the tourist visiting the island, beside seeing the temple, there is a possibility to do some activity, like surfing. There is a beach in the south side of the island. The wave is quiet good, with quiet area surrounding the beach. But, still there are some stalls along the beach, selling foods and drinks, and also souvenirs.

Serangan island is very close from Denpasar or Kuta. It is only for about 15 - 20 minutes drive.
