"Land owner tempted by a high offering price, which makes them to sell their land," said Prof Duija, Lecture in Culture Antropology of Dharma Acarya faculty of IHDN Denpasar.

He said that people sold their land because of many considerations. If the land is used for farming, the output won't be equal with hard work and expensive investment for the land.

Beacuse of that, lots of land in a little time has trasformed into non agriculture land, mostly become new settlement.

Around Uma Anyar Ubung Kaja as example, the land price in that location already reach two hundreds and fifty millions Rupiahs for 100 meters square, and in Cokroaminoto street has reached three hundreds and fifty millions rupiahs for 100 meters square.

"Bali land that changed it's function has reached 1.000 hectare for each years, and it's already happening for few recent years," he said.

According to him, the effect of uncontrolled function change of the land is giving a pressure to the environment, such as beach erosion and abrasion.

This condition is getting worse with the uncontrolled using of those limited resources. Land and water is very limited for tourism industry, housing and farming purposes.

Because of that, those resources must be used carefully for peoples prosperity, and keeping the preservation of Bali environment in the future.
